“Institutional Support” expenditures (Admin) as a percentage of total 2009-10 expenditures:

Perhaps we need to benchmark administrative costs relative to our peer institutions. A 1.7% reduction in "institutional support" to 5.0% of operational expenses would yield ~$14 million in annual cost savings.
The University of Washington reduced their "Institutional Support" costs by 10% from 2008 to 2010 (from 4.8 to 4.0% of total expenditures). Is there any reason we couldn’t do the same at WSU?
